When Traditional Wallpaper Wins
Traditional paste-the-wall is still the highest-end option for a reason. Reach for traditional when:
- You own the home and plan to stay 7+ years. Traditional lasts decades; the upfront cost amortizes.
- The room is a primary living space. Dining rooms, primary bedrooms, formal living rooms — places you want the wallpaper to look pristine for years.
- The wallpaper is textured or specialty. Grasscloth, silk, mica, and embossed wallpapers almost always come in traditional format only. The premium materials don’t translate well to peel-and-stick adhesive.
